Les Enfants de Dagon is an artistic project devoted to creating a dark fantasy saga told through music and literature.
Each album and each novel is a stage of the narrative. Illustrations, photographs and the live show extend this story and give it new forms.
The saga begins in Innsmouth with the album De Profundis and the novel Sous ces profondeurs. It continues in New Orleans and Boston before returning to its point of origin.

History of the project
The band embarked on the project in mid-2019. It produces distressingly dark music with densely layered black orchestration: a blend of death, black and doom metal.
The concept has held since day one: to create a narrative journey inspired by H.P. Lovecraft’s works, particularly the story centred on the sea deity Dagon, following in the footsteps of several death metal and black metal bands from the 90s.
To expand on the debut album’s story, the band wrote an original novel in French. The book is available on Les Enfants de Dagon’s Bandcamp page.
Artistic approach
The project is not a band with novels attached, but a saga whose every act unfolds across several forms. Music opens the narrative, literature deepens it, the stage performs it in full.
The albums and the novels are not independent works: they are read and heard in an order.
Influences
H.P. Lovecraft, and more precisely the sea deity Dagon, who appears in the short story of that name published in 1917 and then in The Shadow over Innsmouth, written in 1931. Musically, the acknowledged lineage is that of the death metal and black metal bands of the 1990s.
